Despite my last email about the DOW and what a bad instrument it is to trade, I just could not keep my eyes off it. Watching the DOW move is addictive and I found myself drawn to it again like a drug. It's movements are huge and if you get on the wrong side of it, it is extremely satisfying.

After last weeks volatility in the markets I thought I would watch the markets today to see if there were any opportunities.. I have always learnt that the markets will go their way regardless of any intervention of which we saw plenty of last week. The markets were clearly heading down and for those who are bearish, perhaps this was a perfect shorting opportunity.

I had an entry for a short position on the GBPJPY with 100 pip stop and limit. Both 15min and 1 hour charts were indicating a sell so I went short at 189.27...
It took a couple of hours and hey presto, the market fell through and I bagged my 100 pips!
