Unbelievable - another win but on the simulator!! S&P Emini trading

Yesterday I ended up with a small loss.. I was a bit worried, it could mean that my winning streak on the simulator was at an end... however, there were other problems today... the trading platform just wasn't interested in letting me in. I ended up putting on some trades on my spreadbetting account to good effect and essentially making some real cash! Hoorah! I shorted twice as per enclosed chart. 24th January – a respectable loss! S&P trading

24th January - a respectable loss! S&P trading

First trade was a short at 134500 when the market bounced up from a fall and hit the 5 day MA line and stochastics were looking to cross towards the downside. Unfortunately I was wrong and got stopped out.  Second trade was another short at 134725 at the market hit the previous swing high level…  I was proved wrong again. By this stage, I was nursing a -14 loss!! Ouch! Hmm.. then I saw an opportunity to short again when the market hit the top of the channel and I put on my trade.. luc

Back on simulator and back in profit.. what's going on? S&P emini trading blog

I pulled a good trade today, went long at 128250 as the market pulled back to hit the 5 day MA on the 5 min charts. The MACD and Stochastic in both the 5 and 15 mins were all pointing the right way which made me more confident. I targetted 128975 but when it hovered around 128900, I manually closed out at 128875 for 25 prices!! However, this was all on the simulator (I went back to it yesterday after losses).. Now, this is very odd.. I do very well on simulator and lose on the live account
