Oil Trade - going up so far....

So after contemplating whether to put on the trade last night, I entered at 9652. The market has moved higher but not with any particular strength as yet. I'm currently around 70 points up at this stage but am looking for a 200 point gain with this trade with my target at 9852. Another target could be also just below 10000.. I've got to see how price action goes for now... The highest for the day was 9769 which would have been a 117 point gain if one managed to take profit at this level....

Watching for signs of weakness - Trade Crude Oil

As I progress with my trading, I'm finding myself more picky with the trades that I trade. I also like to take the trades off the longer timeframe charts as they are less stressful (though I use the shorter timeframe to enter). Anyway, have a look at Crude Oil today... I post the 1 hour chart below: What was interesting to me from this chart prior to the fall (as you see in the price bar one previous to the current price bar) is that the price had lingered around 10700. Trading Crude Oil off the 15 minute charts

I got excited about trading off the lower timeframes and proceeded to trade off the 15 minutes. This timeframe looks ideal so me to get in and out of trades. Although I've been looking at higher timeframes (1 hour and daily charts), I really fancied having a go at trading the 15 mins.. I can get in and out quickly and not have to worry about waiting for profits to materialise. The drawback about the small timeframes of course is that there is just more noise.
