Ok, I eagerly got home today and throughout the journey back from work, I said in my mind that I wouldn't let myself get too 'excited' going live again. As per an earlier post of mine, it's easy to make a psychological shift in your thinking when you are aware that you are trading real money.. and when this happens your trading changes and then you lose.

Our trading mentor informed us not to trade until his say so after Bernanke said his thing. Bernanke took over from Alan Greenspan and is currently the Chairman of the US Federal Reserve... when he has something to say, the markets can move and when I came home, I saw that the market had shot up and generally looked rather choppy. I wasn't sure I'd be able to find an opportunity today but I did.
I shorted the market as it reached the previous high of the day at around 142900. I got in at 1428

I got home a tad later than usual today, delays on the Tube system. I lost 30 mins of valuable trading time but when I got back, I was glad to see that I had not missed anything in the 30 mins.
Anyway, just after 7pm GMT, the market was starting to retrace from the short term high at 143250 and I was initially thinking of an entry to go long as it hit the 5 day MA and also the 50% Fibonacci line.
