When I got back home, the markets had already plummetted.. I wasn't sure if I could pick up anything at this stage. I missed an entry at around 18:20 GMT to short below 135000.. this would have been quite nice.  Anyway, my first entry was a short at 134850.. it started to pull away. I saw this as a possible move lower... the stochastics were approaching overbought level in the 5 mins and 1 mins. However, I was proved wrong and took a 8 price hit. Yawn!! Nothing happening in the markets today!

Yawn!! Nothing happening in the markets today!

It's pretty dead today... if you look at the chart, there's not much happening.  It's probably because the last couple of weeks we've had a lot of news driven events but today.. nought! Then there's the Superbowl which happened last night and the traders are probably nursing their  hangovers. In periods like this, best steer clear and wait for an opportunity. On a more positive note, I spoke with my trading mentor and he's been happy with my simulator trades. I should be going live again..

1st Feb - Second trading session - S&P Emini trading blog

Well here I am back trading again. I found having the complete day to trade really helps me get a general view of what's happening the market. I fired in two countertrend trades in this session. Short at 138675 as the market made a top.. I closed at 138500 which happened to be the bottom. The market then rocketted up to 139500 when I then shorted again at 139275.
