The difference between consistently profitable traders and those who are not is the subject of this post "sometimes the best trade is no trade". Successful traders understand this, it is about being patient and ensuring that the conditions are exactly right for a trade, ie a valid signal to take an entry. Traders who are not so successful feel that they need to be in a trade all the time to be successful and will think that a setup is 'almost right' and therefore happy to jump in early.

Sorry I haven't been updating the blog for a while but everything has been really hectic! I am getting married very soon and have a lot of wedding preparations. In addition, work has taken over the rest of my waking time. I was doing extremely well trading the Forex markets and then, a glut... my trades were rubbish and I was losing money. From a 11 trade winning streak to a good run of losses... what was going on?
I search high and low for an answer, I look at myself to see what was going on

I have been trading.. or should I say, trying to trade for a long time now. My first interest was over 10 years ago in the Dot Com boom and bust... when it was going up, you could just put money in an IPO and watch it shoot to the moon. I was one of those who watched this happen and when others were making money, I thought I would get in myself and see if I could do the same. I didn't make much money but ever since, I have been intrigued and watched the markets ever since.
