Today was another one of those days where the market didn't want to play. As a frequent visitor to the markets, this kind of thing happens all the time.. there is no such thing as a sure trade as the markets can do absolutely anything.
Anyway, here was my trade today, I took the long trade as the price of USDCAD bounced off the moving average. Price action looked strong and I was looking to take this up to 10400 and a relatively tight stop. Looked like a great trade...

Today I saw a beauty of a set up on the DOW .. the price action had made a double top and not only that, the daily pivot proved to be a good resistance line.. it screamed a short and so placed my trade looking to take the trade down to 11800.
However, with markets, anything can happen and this is what actually happened... yes, the market actually went up to hit my stop and I ended up nursing a 30 pip hit. That's the thing about markets, you just never know what can happen and a newbie mis

I was actually looking to buy the DOW if it could get above 10330 but it didn't and started to look weak.
I shorted it manually at 10290 with a stop initially at 10314. It kinda dwindled for a while, obviously the S2 support line was providing support for it. When it start it make it's way upwards I was thinking.. oh well, another losing trading but as soon as it hit the pivot line, it fell and tanked a good 30 odd points.
