I haven't daytraded for ages but sometimes I am tempted and today was one of those days. You can see where I've drawn a horizontal S/R line.. this tied in very nicely with the days price action and I was essentially looking for a break or rebound up at this level. As the price broke below, I quickly went short and took a few points before it headed upwards. As it breached, I went long but lost a few points as it headed down.

Ok I've gone short on the DOW. I'm seeing a dowtrend in the daily charts.. it's a series of lower lows and lower highs. I believe that the market has just completely it's retrace from the downtrend and now going to make it's way down.
The blue line shows that there has been a resistance where price was contained, this is around 15080. I'm hoping price will head lower to 14650 or so where my target is.

This was most annoying. I had sold the DOW last night as you know with a 50 point stop and target. The price moved up and took out my stop before it plumetted.. it would have hit my target as you can see nicely. It's always difficult to know where to put your stop.. it can always be either too tight or too far away.. you just have to stick to your plan.
In fact, I think in the coming days we may see lower prices.. all markets seem primed to move lower but they will do what they need to do
