Something that I have learnt is to never trade Forex during the holidays.... I've watched the markets for many years and when you're off from work, it's tempting to see if you can make a few pips or points from home. If you do make any money, I assure you, you're lucky this time but perhaps not so lucky next time.
The main stock markets were closed due to Easter but as you know, the Forex markets are not country specific so they are still open during the normal hours - Monday to Friday. Marke

This was quite disappointing... the market dipped below the lower band to trigger my short but it didn't stay there long. It shot up, took out my stop at 50 pips away and trigger the long. The long got me my 30 pips but it flew 60 pips in total.
-50 and +30 = -20 pips for the day...

I don't tend to trade Bank Holidays as volumes are low and traders are generally off taking long weekends. These are times when the markets can do funny things.
I didn't trade today but in hindsight, our system would have worked and bagged our 30 pips. For reference, here is the chart, the upper line is at 14493 and the lower at 14444. The market hits a high of 14550 which is almost 100 pips.
