I'd thought I'd bring the above chart to your attention. It is the Crude Oil in the Daily timeframe. I'm wondering if it's poised to move upwards.
My thinking is that there is a pinbar.. a fairly strong one too where the close of the bar is right at the highs of it showing strength. Also, the low is a higher low than previously which is the possible start of an uptrend. The market has been in a long decline and is severely oversold. A pinbar usually shows strong buying or selling. That, alongside the direction of the trend is usually a good entry to get into a trade. I went long the USDCAD on the break of the high of the pin at 10296 with the stop at the low of the pin at 10210. Therefore I am risking 86 pips. I would like to target 2x risk which gives me a target of 172 pips but as a minimum, I would see what happens when (and if) my trade reaches 86 in profit.

It just goes to show that you never really know where the markets are going. I had moved my stop up a bit as the previous stop under the pin would be a full 2% loss if it hit. Moving up the stop to a previous low meant a loss on this trade would be 1%.
Well, the markets fell extremely quickly today and took me out of the trade. Of course, it was disappointing and I would still be in my trade if the stop was below the pinbar but even if I was and saw the strength of this fall.. I would h
