As I progress with my trading, I'm finding myself more picky with the trades that I trade. I also like to take the trades off the longer timeframe charts as they are less stressful (though I use the shorter timeframe to enter).
Anyway, have a look at Crude Oil today... I post the 1 hour chart below:

The markets had fallen hard the last couple of days and I thought that they would have fallen a lot more but yesterday, the markets found some support. This pattern was seen across the DOW, FTSE and other currency pairs. I knew that a lot of people were expecting the markets to tank completely but having a whole day where it consolidated presented an opportunity in my opinion. I took a nice Gold trade today. You can see that Gold in the medium term seemed to be heading lower and the retracement found strong resistance around the 1711 level causing a pin bar sell off.
I placed an order to sell on the break of the pin bar targeting previous lows around 1696 which is 5 points.
This trade hit nicely and all within around 20 minutes!
