I mentioned that I don't do any Forex trading during the bank holidays and I got so bored so I thought I'd go back and play around with Betfair again. I also found a brilliant bit of software called The Geeks Toy which is a Betfair plugin and it's completely free... it's not cut down in any way that I can see.

I just finished Peter Nordsted's Mastering Betfair book. It's not a book for the beginner and expects the reader to at least have a working knowledge of not only Betfair but the betting terminology. This suits me, I want to get to the next level of sophistication with Betfair and just want to get stuck in.
The first part of the book talks about the opportunity and makes you see Betfair in a different light. It's like trading the stock market. I think mindshift in how you think about Betfa

Betfair allows you to trade the sports markets like you do the financial markets. The sports markets have an additional advantage in that they are open Saturday and Sundays (unlike the financial markets). Additionally, around the world, there are sports events happening all the time and Betfair allows you to have a punt on them when they are happening. This means that you can truly trade 24 hours a day for 7 days a week (including Xmas and other public holidays!)
